We are delighted to welcome you to explore Stratfield Saye House.

Book tickets to visit Stratfield Saye House and Gardens and enjoy discovering the private home of the Duke of Wellington and wander through the beautiful gardens in 2026.

When visiting Stratfield Saye House and Grounds, there is a small café within our Visitors’ Centre which sells freshly made sandwiches and snacks each day alongside hot and cold drinks to ticket holders only. Please note that the Estate is cashless so please bring a payment card with you.

Tickets must be booked a minimum of 2 days prior to your visit date.

Stratfield Saye House Tickets

Open from 2nd to 6th April and 6th to 31st August 2026.

Tours are available to book at 10:15am, 11:15am, 12:15pm, 1:15pm, 2:15pm and 3:15pm. This is the time that your tour starts and tours last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Please be outside the house ready to start your tour at the time booked. Gates open at 9:45am and you are able to visit the gardens or museum both before and after your tour. Gates close at 5:00pm.

These terms and conditions apply to your purchase of any tickets to Stratfield Saye House including:

  • House & Gardens tickets
  • Gardens tickets

  1. Opening hours, tours, group and coach visits are subject to change and at times it may be necessary to restrict access to the facilities. We endeavour to publicise or communicate any such changes on our website or with ticket holders prior to any visit.
  2. Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.
  3. We reserve the right to refuse the sale of a ticket, entry or group and coach visit to any part of Stratfield Saye House where it is reasonable for us to do so.
  4. Tickets may not be resold.
  5. Any tickets which have been altered or defaced will be void.
  6. Visitors will be admitted upon presentation of a valid ticket. Please note that HHA members must provide their correct membership number and show their membership card on arrival otherwise they will be charged the applicable admission fee. Student tickets also must provide a valid Student ID otherwise they will be charged the applicable admission fee.
  7. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.
  8. Please be aware that there are some areas in and around the House and grounds which are not quite level and areas where visitors could fall. We want to keep things just as they were intended to be years ago, we rely on our visitors being alert to these potential issues and particularly keeping young children nearby and safe.
  9. Stratfield Saye House shall have no responsibility for any loss or damage suffered by you or occurring to any items belonging to you. Stratfield Saye House will not be responsible for any loss or any expense due to circumstances beyond Stratfield Saye House’s control.
  10. Drone filming, the use of tripods and the use of selfie sticks is not permitted onsite.
  11. Commercial photography and filming in the Stratfield Saye House and grounds may not be publicly distributed without prior permission of Stratfield Saye House.
  12. Large bags and rucksacks are not allowed inside Stratfield Saye House and you may be asked to leave these in your vehicle.
  13. Only guide dogs are permitted entry to Stratfield Saye House and grounds.
  14. Cycling is not permitted within Stratfield Saye House and grounds.
  15. The use of BBQs, disposable or otherwise, is not permitted onsite. Visitors are welcome to bring their own picnics, and we ask that visitors do not litter by using the bins provided or taking their litter home. Picnics are only allowed outside the Visitors’ Centre or in the Car Park.
  16. We may, for any reason, conduct security searches of persons, clothing, bags and other items, both on entry and exit, in order to protect your safety and that of other visitors, staff and Stratfield Saye House.
  17. The following items are prohibited within the boundary of Stratfield Saye House:
  • Any items which are, or appear to be, illegal
  • Weapons, ammunition, explosives, horns, whistles, drums, fireworks, flagpoles, banners, balloons, sporting equipment, large umbrellas or any other item which in our reasonable opinion may cause danger or disruption to any visit, visitors, staff or resident wildlife.
  1. Visitors are not permitted to bring food and beverages into Stratfield Saye House.
  2. As a condition of ticket purchase, visitors to Stratfield Saye House and grounds consent to being photographed or filmed for use on TV, websites, social media, promotional materials, or other public mediums, as part of the audience, or by security CCTV.
